Supporting Single Working Mothers Across South Africa
Many single working mothers earn too much to qualify for government or institutional funding, yet struggle to meet the rising costs of education, emotional wellbeing, and household stability. While women continue to rise into professional roles, the absence of shared parental responsibility often leaves families vulnerable.
SheBylds Foundation exists to close this gap, ensuring that mothers and children are supported, restored, and empowered to thrive.
What We Do
Shebylds Foundation responds by creating a structured empowerment ecosystem built on
four programmes:
- Economic Empowerment (Leadership Education, Fashion, Beauty & Creative Enterprise Development)
- Healing & Emotional Restoration
- Legal Support Services
- Educational and Youth Empowerment (Boy & Girl Child Programme)
The Foundation’s flagship platform, the Heritage Fashion Show (September 2026), serves as a fundraising, market access and industry showcase event. The Fashion Show is inclusive and open to designers, creatives, sponsors, vendors and the broader public. It generates funding that supports training programmes for single working mothers and their children. Shebylds Foundation launches in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng with a 3-year plan for national expansion.
Phase 1: Our Pilot Programmes
Healing Circles
A structured emotional and spiritual wellness programme providing safe, guided spaces for single mothers support, specifically single working mothers, to heal, reflect, and rebuild.
Education Financial Aid & School Support
Targeted assistance addressing school fees, uniforms, stationery, and academic stability for children of single working mothers, ensuring they have access to essential resources.
Heritage Fashion Show
A flagship fundraising and awareness initiative celebrating African heritage while generating sustainable funding for education and healing programmes, contributing to South Africa empowerment.
SHE LEADS - Women Leadership Development Programme
S - Support: Building Confidence, networks and leadership foundations.
H - Heal: Developing Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Authentic Leadership.
E - Empower: Equipping women with Strategic, Governance, and Executive Capabilities.
Bylds - Builds: Applying Leadership to build stronger careers, families, organisations, and communities
